Ryan M. Phillips holds a bachelor's in English and a master's in English and Literature. She has more than twenty years of experience in the publishing industry as an author, ghostwriter, and editor. Phillips has penned and sold four traditionally published novels. In 2013, she novelized the script for I'm In Love With A Church Girl, a major motion picture featuring Ja Rule and Adrienne Bailon-Houghton. Since then, she has strategically and successfully partnered with independent and represented authors, literary agencies, and publishing houses across the country, providing professional writing services for a broad range of projects through her company Freedom Line Creative Services.
Phillips also is a dedicated, student-centered teaching professional who is committed to providing a well-balanced, supportive, and engaging learning environment for all students. Proficient at tailoring lesson plans to incorporate students’ diverse interests and backgrounds and capturing their attention and imagination. Talent for integrating digital media, thematic units, cooperative learning projects, and class discussions to generate independent thought; improving English reading, composition, listening, and speaking skills; and instilling a love for writing, researching, and literacy in students.
In addition to overseeing Freedom Line's day-to-day operations, Phillips is a course director and instructor at Full Sail University, where she teaches web design and writing courses in the Creative Writing BFA program.
